Dosage Forms: Oral Film-coated tablets, 10-15-20 mg

Description:

Rivaroxaban is a highly selective direct factor Xa inhibitor with high oral bioavailability. Inhibition of factor Xa interrupts the intrinsic and extrinsic pathway of the blood coagulation cascade, inhibiting both thrombin formation and development of thrombi.

INDICATIONS

• Reduction of risk of stroke and systemic embolism in nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF)
• Treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
• Treatment of pulmonary embolism (PE)
• Reduction in the risk of recurrence of DVT or PE  
• Prophylaxis of DVT, which may lead to PE in patients undergoing knee or hip replacement surgery
• Prophylaxis of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in acutely ill medical patients
• Axabin® is the first generic form of rivaroxaban in Iran which is produced at a GMP approved manufacturing site
